In October 2024 we started the process of redesigning the City of Kerrville CVB website. The idea was to move all existing content and functionality over to a new sleek design that would bring more visitor travel to Kerrville, Texas. Arsenal Advertising had redesigned their logo back in 2020, and now it was time to translate that brand to a new web experience that reflected that brand.

Previous Website

The previous Kerrville website was very dated. It used muted colors, 2000’s layout design and a very limited experience. Nearly every page looked the same besides the home page, and was hard to navigate as a user. The color and type accessibility was also a sore point for web users.

Web Brand Guidelines

Before designing the website, it was important to establish typography, colors and spacing that will be present. I created a quick web brand guide to establish parameters that will be the foundation of the design.

Current Redesign

The new website aimed to fix the dated visual by bringing in vibrant colors, pictures, and a simpler satisfying design. The new design has four distinctive hierarchy designs that helps the user easily navigate where they are on the website. Design elements from the established brand in 2020 are also prevalent to tie everything together visually.
